Xymogen 5-MTHF ES supports methylation, nervous system, normal cellular proliferation (including red blood cells), healthy serum folate levels, and supports a healthy pregnancy outcome. Does not contribute to unmetabolized Folic Acid Accumulation (UMFA). 5-MTHF is the most biologically active form of the water-soluble B vitamin, folate. It is the preferred form of folate supplementation due to an array of conditions that can limit conversion or absorption of folic acid. Supplementing with 5-MTHF increases plasma folate more effectively than folic acid.
